WEST BENGAL PSC INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 96 POSTS OF PRINCIPAL, PROFESSOR, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR AND ASST. PROFESSOR FOR ENGINEERING/TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGES. LAST DATE — 24/07/2015
1. PRINCIPAL — 06 Nos. [UR—2; SC—2; OBC(A)—1; PD(B/LV)—1]
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. and Ph.D. or equivalent in appropriate disciplines.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry out of which at least 3 years shall be at the level of Professor.
OR Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or research and / or industry.
OR In case of Architecture, professional practice of 10 years as certified by Council of Architecture shall also be considered valid.
Age Limit: Not more than 50yrs as on 01/01/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.37, 400/- – Rs.67, 000/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 10, 000/- + spl. Allowance of Rs.3, 000/- per month.
2. PROFESSOR in the following Subjects:
(i) Civil Engineering: 2 Nos. (UR—1; SC—1)
(ii) Computer Science & Engineering: 2 Nos. (UR)
(iii) Electrical Engineering: 2 Nos. (UR—1; SC—1)
(iv) Electronics & Communication Engineering: 2 Nos. (UR—1; OBC-A—1)
(v) Mechanical Engineering: 2 Nos. (UR—1; SC—1)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. and Ph.D. or equivalent in appropriate discipline.
Experience : Minimum 10 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
OR Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and / or research and / or industry.
Age Limit: Not more than 50yrs as on 01/01/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.37, 400/- – Rs.67, 000/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 10, 000/-.
3. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in the following Subjects:
(i) Civil Engineering: 4 Nos. (UR—1; SC—1)
(ii) Computer Science & Engineering: 4 Nos. [UR—2; SC—1; OBC(B)—1)
(iii) Electrical Engineering: 4 Nos. [UR—1; SC—1; ST—1; PD(LMD/CP)—1]
(iv) Electronics & Communication Engineering: 4 Nos. [UR—2; SC—1;OBC(A)—1]
(v) Mechanical Engineering: 4 Nos. (UR—3; SC—1)
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. and Ph.D. or equivalent in appropriate discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching/research/industry of which 2 years post Ph.D. experience is desirable.
Age Limit: Not more than 40yrs as on 01/01/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.37, 400/- – Rs.67, 000/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9, 000/-.
4. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the following Subjects:
(i) Civil Engineering: 12 Nos. [UR—6; SC—2; ST—1; OBC(A)—1; OBC(B)—1)
(ii) Computer Science & Engineering: 12 Nos. [UR—6; SC—4; OBC(A)—1; OBC(B)—1)
(iii) Electrical Engineering: 12 Nos. [UR—7; SC—2; ST—1; OBC(A)—1; PD(LMD/CP)—1]
(iv) Electronics & Communication Engineering: 12 Nos. [UR—7; SC—2; ST—1; OBC(A)—1; OBC(B)—1)
(v) Mechanical Engineering: 12 Nos. [UR—6; SC—3; ST—1; OBC(A)—2]
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as on 01/01/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.39, 100/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 6, 000/-
NOTE: CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK IN BENGALI IS AN ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POSTS AND SERVICES MENTIONED ABOVE. PROVIDED THAT THE SAID COMPULSORY REQUIREMENT OF KNOWLEDGE IN BENGALI IS NOT APPLICABLE FOR NEPALI SPEAKING CANDIDATES FROM THE HILL AREAS OF THE DISTRICT OF DARJEELING UNLESS MENTIONED OTHERWISE.

Examination Fee: Rs.210/- is to be paid as examination fee. Fee can be paid online during submission of online application through Debit/Credit card or through Net Banking.
NO FEE FOR SC/ST CANDIDATES OF WEST BENGAL AND PWD CANDIDATES. No fee exemption is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates of other States.
