1. PROJECT ASSOCIATE – POST CODE: BTR101
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos.
Name of the Project: Augmentation and Long-term Monitoring of Tiger in Buxa Tiger Reserve, West Bengal.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Professional Degree in Biotechnology and Veterinary Science with three years of research and teaching experience
OR Ph.D. Degree in Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Life Science/ Biological Sciences from a recognized university.
Desirable: Experience with proven record/ publications in (a) Genetic characterization of large carnivores, (b) Endocrinology of mammals, (c) Species recovery strategies, (d) Chemical immobilization of wildlife species, and (e) project supervision and management.
Age Limit: Maximum 34 years as on 05/05/2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 40,000/- per month.
2. PROJECT ASSOCIATE – POST CODE: STR102

Name of the Project: Augmentation and Recovery of Tiger Population in Satkosia Tiger Reserve, Odisha.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Professional Degree in Biotechnology and Veterinary Science with three years of research and teaching experience
OR Ph.D. Degree in Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Life Science/ Biological Sciences from a recognized university.
Desirable: Experience with proven record/ publications in (a) Genetic characterization of large carnivores, (b) Endocrinology of mammals, (c) Species recovery strategies, (d) Chemical immobilization of wildlife species, and (e) project supervision and management.

3. PROJECT FELLOW – POST CODE: NBC103
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Name of the Project: Movement Ecology of Tiger (Panthera tigris) for Conflict Prediction and Landscape Management in SathyamangalamNilgiri Biosphere Complex, Southern India.
Educational Qualification: Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Veterinary Science/ Geography/ Geoinformatics/ Social Sciences/ Statistics/ Commerce from a recognized university.
Desirable: Domain knowledge and field experience in movement ecology of carnivores involving telemetry, and experiences in Camera trapping; Distance sampling; humancarnivore conflicts, and spatial analyses and predictive modelling involving RS and GIS tools.
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on 05/05/2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.25,000/- per month.

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/OBC category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview. The Written Examination will be conducted at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun on 14th May 2018. Interview will be held on 15th May 2018 (for Project Fellows) and on 16th May 2018 (for Project Associates).
