Eastern Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell – Kolkata, is recruiting for 1608 Nos. vacancies in various posts — Porter, Gateman, Helpter, Trackman, Chowkidar, Velveman, Hospital Attnd, Safaiwala, Peon and Etc. (1495 Ex-Serviceman for Eastern Railway and 113 Ex-Servicemen for Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Chittaranjan). The vacancies are against Ex-Servicemen Quota. Employment Notice No. P/ER/RRC/ESM/01/2013. Qualification norms and brief details is given below —

Vacancies for Eastern Railway are as follows —
01. Porter/Optg.—  77 Nos.
02. Gateman/Optg. — 21 Nos.
03. Helper-II/Mech. — 200 Nos.
04. Helper-II/Elect. — 108 Nos.
05. Helper-II/S&T — 74 Nos.
06. Helper-II/Engg. — 39 Nos.
07. Trackman/Engg. — 693 Nos.
08. Gatekeeper/Engg. — 198 Nos.
09. Chowkider/Engg. — 25 Nos.
10. Velveman/Engg. — 05 Nos.
11. Hospital Attendant/Med. — 04 Nos.

Vacancies for Chittaranjan Locomotive Works are as follows —
14. Helper — 52 Nos.
15. Peon — 36 Nos.
16. Chowkidar — 10 Nos.
17. Sanitary Cleaner — 15 Nos.

Eligibility: 
Ex-Servicemen who have retired after putting in 15 years of service and have passed Army Class-I certificate or equivalent, are eligible to apply.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2013): for General candidates — 33yrs + extent of military service + 3yrs; Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs and OBC—3yrs.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/-

Candidates’ selection: The names of eligible candidates will be arranged on the basis of total length of military service and ex-Servicemen to the extent of vacancies will be called for verification of original documents. After verification of document, a final panel will be prepared from this list. There will be no Written Examination/Interview or Physical Efficiency Test.

Examination Fee: There is no examination fee.
