Himachal Pradesh Forest Department is recruiting 205 Forest Guard on contractual basis through Direct Recruitment at Forest Circle Level. The number of vacancies varies from circle to circle. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria is given below in brief—

Number of Vacancies: 205 posts.
Vacancies according to Circle wise were as follows —
1. Bilaspur: 5 Nos.
2. Chamba: 30 Nos.
3. D/shala: 25 Nos.
4. Haripur: 22 Nos.
5. Kullu: 08 Nos.
6. Mandi: 25 Nos.
7. Nahan: 21 Nos.
8. RamPur: 21 Nos.
9. Shimla: 28 Nos.
10. WL Shimla: 4 Nos.
11. WL D/shala: 12 Nos.
12. National Park Shamshi: 4 Nos.
The vacancies are on contractual basis. The selection of the candidates will be through Physical Standards measurement and Physical Efficiency Test , Written Test and Interview.

Education Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent.
Age Limits: Between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC is 5yrs.
N.B: Candidates must be resident of Himachal Pradesh.
Pay Scale: Rs.5910—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2000/-
Physical Standards:
Male candidates: Height—165cms; Chest (Expanded/ Unexpanded)— 79/84cms
Female Candidates: Height— 150 cms; Chest (Expanded/ Unexpanded) — 74/ 79cms.
Physical Efficiency Test:
For Male candidates: (i) 100 Mtr run in 14 seconds, (ii) 800 Mtr. in 2 Min 45 Seconds; (iii) High jump of 1.25 Mtr. and (iv) Long jump of 4Mtr.
For Female Candidates: (i) 100 Mtr. in 17 Sec, (ii) 400 Mtr. 2 Min. 15 Seconds (iii) High jump of 70 Cm and (iv) Long jump of 2 Mtr.

Application form must be enclosed with attested copies of Qualification certificate, Caste Certificate, Age proof and Etc AND 4 copies of recent pass port size photograph along with a copy of registration in the employment exchange (duly attested).
Last Date of Application: Application form along with enclosures must reach on or before 16th April 2013 (5 PM). Candidates may also submit their application in person from dated 20/03/2013 to 16/04/2013 during Office hours.
Candidates residing in Tribal Areas i.e. Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti, Bharmour & Pangi Sub Divisions of Chamba, Dodra Kawar of Shimla District can apply on or before – 23/04/2013 (5 PM).
Duly filled application form is to be sent/submitted to concerned Conservator of Forests in Himachal Pradesh.
