South Central Railway (SCR) – Ex-Servicemen Quota, 311 Trackman, Helper, Asst. Pointsmen. Last Dt. 15/07/2013 (30/07/2013 for far flung areas)

South Central Railway (SCR), as per Employment Notification No. RRC/SCR/EX-SM/1/2013, is recruiting 311 Ex-Serviceman against Ex-Serviceman Quota for Erstwhile Group D posts — Trackman (Gateman), Helper-II and Assistant Pointsmen. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Brief details is given below —

1. TRACKMAN (GATEMEN): 61 Nos.
2. HELPER — II: 180 Nos.
3. ASSISTANT POINTSMEN: 70 Nos.

Eligibility Criteria: Only Ex-servicemen who have retired after putting in 15yrs of service and possess Army Class-I certificate or equivalents are eligible to apply.

Age Limit as on 01-07-2013: For Unreserved candidates—maximum 36 yrs; For SC/ST candidates—maximum 41yrs and for OBC candidates—39yrs.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.1800/- per month.

Examination fee: There is no fee

Selection of the candidates will be in the order of merit on the basis of total length of Military Service and Ex-servicemen to the extent of vacancies will be called for verification of original documents.
After verification, a final panel will be prepared.
There will be no Written Examination or Interview or Physical Efficiency Test.
There will be Medical Examination for fitness test and only those candidates who are found medically fit would be offered appointment.

How to Apply: Eligible Ex-servicemen may apply on prescribed application format. The Application format can be print-out from the website of South Central Railway or can be prepared on plain paper as per the format published on employment gazette.
Candidates must fill the form in his/her own handwriting with blue or black ballpoint pen only in English or in Hindi language.
Candidates must also enclose Self-Attested copies  all the relevant testimonials/ documents in support of eligibility, such as –

• Discharge certificate/ book with clear mentioning of the Total Military Services
• Army Class-I Certificate/ equivalent certificate
• Age proof certificate/ document (Matriculation/SSC certificate can be given)
• Caste certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC
• And any other relevant documents.

Last Date of Application: The duly filled Application form along with enclosures must reach or before 15th July, 2013 (5PM) (30/07/2013 for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep)
