INDIAN ARMY, 5133 ASC BN, CO 99 APO UNDER EASTERN COMMAND (ST) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 34 GROUP ‘C’ POST OF FIRE ENGINE DRIVERS, FIREMAN, TRADESMAN MATE (ERSTWHILE MAZDOOR/ LABOURER TRADE), CHOWKIDAR, COOK, WASHERMAN, CIVIL MOTOR DRIVER (CMD) AND FIRE FITTER. 1. FIRE ENGINE DRIVER
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.
ii) Must be in possession of valid driving licence.
Experience: Must have at least 03 years experience of driving heavy vehicles.
Desirable: i) Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliance.
ii) Experience of having worked in a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Grade I or Senior Fireman.
iii) Should have passed the general Fire Fighting Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub- Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 21,700/- per month.

 

2. FIREMAN
No. of Vacancies: 13 Nos. (UR-05, SC-03, ST-02, OBC-03)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.
ii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fitting and fire appliances and equipments fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches.
iii) Must be familiar with the use and maintenance first-aid fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
iv) Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire.
v) Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew.
Experience: Must have served in a recognised Civil or Defence Fire Brigades as Fireman Grade II for a minimum period of 03 years.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 19,900/- per month.

 

3. TRADESMAN MATE (ERSTWHILE MAZDOOR/ LABOURER)
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (UR-05, SC-01, ST-03, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 18,000/- per month.

 

4. CHOWKIDAR
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Desirable: Conversant with the duties of the trade with 01 year experience in the trade.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 18,000/- per month.

 

5. COOK
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
ii) Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and proficiency in trade.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 19,900/- per month.

 

6. WASHERMAN
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.
ii) Must be able to the wash military/ Civilian cloths thoroughly well.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 18,000/- per month.

 

7. CIVIL MOTOR DRIVER (CMD)
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos. (UR-02, SC-01, ST-02)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.
ii) Must possess civil driving license for heavy vehicles.
Experience: Minimum 02 years experience of driving such vehicles.
Desirable: Experience of driving heavy vehicles in high altitude will be given preference.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 19900/- per month.

 

8. FIRE FITTER
No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (UR)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognised Board/ University.
ii) Must possess Diploma/ TTI for the post.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 19900/- per month.

 

The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.

 

Physical Standards (For Fire Engine Driver and Fireman only):
(i) Height — 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates); (ii) Chest (unexpanded) — 81.5 cms; (iii) Chest (expanded) — 85 cms; (iv) Weight — 50 kgs.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Practical Trade Test, Physical Test, Endurance Test and Written Test wherever applicable.
