West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBSED) is inviting application for the post of Assistant Teachers (Primary Teacher) in Govt. Aided/ Sponsored Primary/ Junior Schools available in the State. The Advertisement was first issued on 19th Oct 12 now the Application form for the same is released through different bank branches. Eligible candidates may collect the Application Form at cash payment of Rs.100 (Rs.25- for SC/ST). Brief information on number of vacancies according to District wise and Qualification norms is given below—

Qualification Required: Higher Secondary pass with 50% marks and 2yrs Diploma in Elementary Education or Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Higher Secondary with 45% marks with 2yrs Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE, OR Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education or Ability to read, write and speak in the language relating to the medium for which applicants wishes to apply. (For details, refer the Advt.)
Higher Secondary pass candidates under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks or Graduate (pass) done candidates WITHOUT any Diploma in Elementary Education or B.El.Ed MAY ALSO APPLY but in such cases, if candidates is appointed, then he/she shall acquire the professional qualification within a period of two (2) years from the year of appointment.
Age Limits: between 18yrs to 40yrs as on 01/01/2012. Upper age relaxation is as per norms.
Selection of the candidates will be through Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Qualified candidates from TET will be called for Viva-voce/ Interview.
How to Apply: Information Booklet-cum-Application Form can be collected from different branches of Authorized banks on payment of Rs.100/– as Application fee (Rs.25 in case of SC/ST candidates).
Distribution of Application Form will begin from dated 16th Nov to 30th Nov 2012.
Last Date of Application: Application form is to be submitted in concerned bank branches on or before 30th November 2012.

Hello… BPP is not equivalent to Higher Secondary. BPP course is only meant for students who want to do graduation without passing Class-12 from IGNOU and is valid only for IGNOU.

Shown that madhyamik total marks is 900 after mentioning physical & work education in subject studied coloumn, though in madhyamik marksheet there are clearly written that full marks = 800.
Here additional subjects are mentioned in madhyamik detail but not in higher secondary education detail.
I’m passed H.S examination in 2008 so as per rule of W.B.C.H.S.E I have to calculate my percentile of marks according to the BEST OF FIVE of subjects taken in H.S. Though I have studied biology as 4th subject & environmental science as compulsory.
Now in primary form there are coloumns of subjects studied, full marks,marks obtained & % of marks.
so I’m confused either the name of the 5 or 7 subjects have to write & in the place of total marks what to write, 500 or 700?
In my honours degree marks are calculated on the basis of 8 semster’s marks & I got a degree grade point average (known as DGPA) after calculating those marks in a specific formula by W.B.U.T?so how I calculate my full marks & mark obtained?

Diploma is not compulsory … Either you have to get 50% in HS or If you are graduate then you do not need 50% in HS. Keep it simple…
