Border Security Force (BSF) requires 386 ASI (Stenographer) & HC (Ministerial). Last Dt: 03/12/2012

Border Security Force, under Ministry of Home Affairs, is recruiting 386 “Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer)” and “Head Constable (Ministerial)”. The engagement in the post is temporary but likely to become permanent. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application form. Qualification norms and brief information is given below—

1. Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer): 82 Nos. (Gen—52; OBC—14; SC—2; ST—14)
Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent OR Madhyamik pass with 3yrs of Diploma in Secretarial Practice or Modern Office Practice or Commercial practice.
Required: shorthand with 70 words per minute  in English or in Hindi. Transcribe of dictation in English in 60 minutes on computer 75 minutes in Hindi.
Pay scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2800

2. Head Constable (Ministerial): 304 Nos. (Gen—243; OBC—37; ST—0; ST—24)
Qualification: Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent OR Madhyamik pass with 3yrs of Diploma in Secretarial Practice or Modern Office Practice or Commercial practice.
Typing speed of 30 words per minute  in English or 25 words per minute  in Hindi on computer.

Physical Standard (For both posts)
Male candidates – Height: 165cms; Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded) : 77/82cms and Weight: Proportional to height and age.
Female Candidates – Height: 157 cms; Weight: Correspondence to height and age.

Age Limits: between 18yrs to 25yrs as on last date of application. Upper age relaxation is as per norms.
