ITBP requires 444 Sub-Inspector, Head Constable and Constable in Telecommunication branch. Last Dt. 28/06/2013 (05/07/2013 for far flung areas)

Indo – Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is recruiting 444 Nos. Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication), Head Constable (Telecommunication) and Constable (Telecommunication). The vacancies are on temporary basis but likely to become permanent. Eligible and Interested candidates may apply on prescribed application format within below scheduled date. Qualification norms in brief details is given below —

1. Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication): 10 Nos. (Gen—5; SC—2; ST—0; OBC—3)
Qualification: Bachelors degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Electronics and Communication or Electronics and Instrumentation from a recognized University or Institution
OR Bachelor in Computer Application
OR B.E. in Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation or Computer Science or Electrical or Information Technology
OR Associate Member of Institution of Electronics and Communication or Instrumentation or Computer Science or Electrical or Information Technology Engineers or equivalent from a recognized University or Institution
Age Limit: Between 20yrs to 25yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300—34800 and Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-

2. Head Constable (Telecommunication): 369 Nos. (Gen—186; SC—55; ST—28; OBC—100)
Qualification: 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having aggregate of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
OR Class 10 pass with 2 years ITI certificate in Electronics or Electrical or Computer
OR Class 10 pass with Science (PCM) and with 3 yrs Diploma in Electronics or Communication or Instrumentation or Computer Science or Information Technology or Electrical from recognised Institute.
Age Limit: 18yrs to 25yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400/-

3. Constable (Telecommunication): 65 Nos. (Gen—33; SC—10; ST—5; OBC—17)
Qualification: Matriculation (Class 10 pass).
Desirable: Diploma or Certificate course from ITI is desirable.
Age Limit: between 18yrs to 23yrs.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-

Upper age relaxation: Age limits mentioned above will be counted as on 28-06-2013. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is as per govt. norms.

Minimum Physical Standards of the candidates —
Height: 170cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates and 165cms for candidates belonging to Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates from Hill area States like Assam, Sikkim, Nagaland, AP, Manipur, Mizoram, HP, Kashmir, Tripura, Meghalaya, Leh & Ladakh, J&K and etc.)

Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 80/ 85cms for Sub-Inspector (Telecom) and 78/83cms for HC and CT (Telecom)

Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) in case of ST candidates: 77/82 cms for SI (Telecom) and 76/81cms for HC/ CT (Telecom)

Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) in case of candidates from Hill areas and candidates belonging to Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas: 80/85 cms for SI (Telecom) and 78/83 for HC/CT (Telecom)

Weight (Applicable to all categories): Correspondence to height and age as per medical standards.
Vision: minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction

The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Selection of the candidates will be through Physical measurement, Physical Standard Test, Written Test, Written Test, Interview (for SI only) and finally Medical Examination. For Selection steps, PET and WT, please see the officially released Advt. (Link given below)
Written Test for all the post will be held on the same day and time, therefore candidates must apply for any one of the post. Applying more than one will lead to cancellation of Application form.
Date and time/ venue will be intimated in due course through Call letters.

The Application form along with application fee and testimonials in attested copies must be sent through ORDINARY POST only at the below given address.

Application Fee: Rs.50/- only by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the issuing Post Office
SC/ST and Ex-Serviceman are exempted from paying Application Fee.

• Age proof certificate (Matriculation or class 10 pass certificate can be given)
• Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
• Voter card or Pan Card or Adhar Card or Passport or Domicile Certificate for verification of citizenship.
• Discharge certificate in case of Ex-Serviceman.
• Height/ chest relaxation certificate as per annexure – V, if applicable. (See the Advt. link below)
• Degree/ Diploma /ITI certificate (as applicable).
• Two self addressed envelopes of 4”X9” size with Rs. 5/- postage stamps affixed on each envelope.

The top of the application form containing envelope must be superscribed in bold as — “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ___________  IN ITBP”

Last Date of Application and Address: The Application form must reach on or before 28th June,2013 by Ordinary Post at – Post Box No.344, GPO Lucknow (UP).
