TAMIL NADU GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION CORPORATION (TANGEDCO) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 5000 POSTS OF GANGMAN (TRAINEE). LAST DATE — 30.05.2019
1. GANGMAN (TRAINEE)
No. of Vacancies: 5000 Nos. (GT- 1550, BCM- 175, BCO- 1325, MBC/DC- 1000, SC- 750, SC(A)- 150, ST- 50)
Educational Qualification: i) Studied upto 5th standard.
ii) Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
Note:- Candidates who do not possess an adequate knowledge in Tamil may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, should pass the Second Class Language Test as prescribed in the Service Regulation.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 35 years as on 01/07/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.16,400 – 51,500/-
The candidates will be appointed through Direct Recruitment basis.
The selected candidates will be placed under Two (02) years Training period. Candidates will be paid a Consolidated Pay of Rs.15,000/- per month during the training period.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Tamil Nadu shall be treated as General Candidates.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/PWD and 02 years for BC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Test and Written Examination.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC, SCA, ST, Destitute widow and PWD candidates) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen.
