5121 ASC BN (MT) (CIV GT), under Ministry of Defence, is inviting application from eligible Indian Nationals to fill up the Group-C (Erstwhile Group D) posts — Vehicle Mechanic, Safaiwala, Lower Division Clerk, Cleaner, Cook and Civilian Motor Driver. Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. qualification norms and brief details are given below. Recruitment Notice No. 01/2013 —
1. Vehichle Mechanic (Male): 1 Nos. (Unreserved)
Qualification: Matriculation with ITI/ Ex-trade apprentices/ NCTVT etc. Candidates must have minimum 2 years experience in the trade.
2. Safaiwala (Multi Tasking Staff) (Male only): 2 Nos. (unreserved)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent. Desirable—One year experience in the field.
3. Lower Division Clerk (LDC) (Male & Female): 4 Nos. (Gen—1; SC—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Class 12 or equivalent with English Typing at 35 words per minute on Computer OR Hindi Typing at 30 words per minute on Computer.
4. Cleaner (For vehicles) (Male): 1 Nos. (reserved for Ex-serviceman)
Qualification: Matriculation pass or equivalent. Desirable—proficiency in the trade.
5. Cook (Male): 3 Nos. (Gen—2; OBC—1)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and must have knowledge of Indian cooking and proficiency in the trade.
6. Civilian Motor Driver (CMD – Ordinary Grade) (Male): 78 Nos. (Gen—38; SC—21; OBC—19)
Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent and must posses Driving licence for Heavy vehicles and have two years experience of driving such vehicles.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200—20200 and with Grade Pay of Rs.1900/ Rs.1800 (as applicable to the post)
Age Limit: Candidates must be minimum 18yrs and maximum 25yrs (27yrs for Civilian Motor Driver). Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.
The engagement to the above posts are temporary but likely to be permanent after a probation period of two years.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test, Trade test/ typing test (as applicable) and Interview. See the below file for details.
There will be Physical Endurance Test for all posts except the post of LDC and will be as following —
(i) 1.6 kms run within 6 minutes
(ii) Bent knee Situps – 20 times
(iii) 3 mtrs vertical rope climbing
(iv) Chin Ups – 5 times
(v) 9” Ditch clearing.
