Age Limit, Qualification and Physical Standard:-
For the post of Constable (Tailor/Gardener / Cobbler): Madhyamik pass candidates either with two years of work experience in respective field (self attestation will be accepted)or  Trade certificate course of one year from ITI/Vocational Institute OR Two years Diploma course from ITI on respective trade.
Age—between 18yrs to 23yrs as on 26/3/2012.
Height: 167.5 (for SC/ST- 162.5cms)
Chest (unexpanded/expanded): 78/ 83 cms (76/ 81 cms)
For Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and Candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh  Kashmir and Ladakh regions of Jammu and Kashmir—Height: 165 cms and Chest (unexpanded/expanded): 78/83cms.
Weight: Proportional to height and age as per medical standard.

For the post of Constable (Water Carrier/Safai Karamchari/ Cook & Washerman/Barber): Madhyamik pass candidates may apply.
Age—between 18yrs to 25yrs as on 26/3/2012.
Height and Chest (For all categories and candidates): Height: 157cms and Chest (unexpanded/expanded): 76cms/81cms. Weight: Proportional to height and age as per medical standard.

Age relaxation for OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs and Ex-serviceman- as per norms.

Eye Sight (For all candidates): 6/6 and 6/9 in distant vision of both eyes without glasses.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins or squint in eyes and should be free from any disease/ illness which may hinder the performance of duties.

Candidates selection: Candidates will be selected through – (I) Height Bar test, i.e. the measurement of height., (II) Race—Race of 0.5 KM within 24 minutes, (III) Physcial Standard Test, i.e. measurement of Height, Chest and Weight measurement, (IV) Trade Test, trade test on respective trade for which candidates apply, (V) Written Test, candidates qualified in trade test will be called for Written Test and finally (VI) Medical Examination.

How to Apply: Prepare the application in A4 size fool scope paper as per format. Along with application form, enclose the following attested copies of the documents—

• Attested copy of educational and qualification certificate
• Attested copy of age proof certificate (Madhyamik certificate can be given for verification)
• Caste certificate, if SC/ST/OBC
• Discharge certificate, if Ex-serviceman
• Experience or ITI/Trade certificate
• Two self addressed envelope (4×9)with postal stamp of Rs.5 on each.
• Application fee in form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp/IPO/Bank Draft of Rs. 50/- (not required for SC/ST and Ex-Serviceman). If DD or PO then it should be in favour of— DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL (DELHI), I.T.B. POLICE, PAYABLE AT S.B.I., R.K. PURAM, NEW DELHI, CODE NO-1076.
