ACT APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 400 Nos. (UR-202, SC-60, ST-30, OBC-108. Out of the total posts, 12 posts each reserved for PWD and Ex-servicemen)
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Fitter- 100 posts
ii) Welder (G&E)- 100 posts
iii) Machinist- 40 posts
iv) Painter (G)- 20 posts
v) Carpenter- 40 posts
vi) Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)- 10 posts
vii) Electrician- 56 posts
viii) Electronic Mechanic- 14 posts
ix) AC & Ref. Mechanic- 20 posts
Educational Qualification: i) Must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate in respective trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training.
Age Limit: Should have completed 15 years and should not have completed 24 years as on 08/01/2020.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The candidates will undergo apprenticeship training at Technical Training Centre, Rail Coach Factory (Kapurthala) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done through Merit basis based on the percentage of marks in Matriculation plus ITI marks, Document Verification and Medical Examination.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen.
