ACT APPRENTICE
No. of Vacancies: 196 Nos. (UR-98, OBC-53, SC-30, ST-15. Out of the total posts, 04 posts are reserved for PWD)
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Fitter- 90 posts
ii) Welder (Gas & Electric)- 50 posts
iii) Mechanic Machine & Tool Maintenance- 13 posts
iv) Machinist- 12 posts
v) Painter- 16 posts
vi) Electrician- 12 posts
vii) Stenographer (Hindi)- 03 posts
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 system) with minimum 50% marks and ITI passed certificate in relevant trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute affiliated to NCVT.
Age Limit: Must have completed 15 years and should not have completed 24 years as on 01/12/2019.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for a period of One (01) year under Apprentice Act, 1961 for the year 2019-20 in North Central Railway, Wagon Repair Workshop, Jhansi.
The candidates who have already completed their training under Apprentice Act, 1961 from any other Institute/ Establishment are not eligible to apply.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done on Merit basis based on the average percentage of marks obtained in 10th or equivalent examination and percentage of marks obtained in ITI. There will be no written or oral examination.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO NORTH CENTRAL RAILWAY, WAGON REPAIR WORKSHOP, JHANSI AT THIS STAGE.
