1. ACT APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 223 Nos. (UR-113, SC-34, ST-17, OBC-59. Out of which, 08 posts are reserved for PWD & 08 posts for ESM)
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Fitter: 54 posts
ii) Welder (G&E): 53 posts
iii) Machinist: 20 posts
iv) Painter (G): 17 posts
v) Carpenter: 24 posts
vi) Mechanic (Motor Vehicle): 06 posts
vii) Electrician: 30 posts
viii) Electronic Mechanic: 10 posts
ix) AC & Ref. Mechanic: 09 posts
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board and should also possess National Trade Certificate in respective trade issued by NCVT.
Age Limit: Completed 15 years and should not have completed 24 years as on 23/02/2019.
The candidates will undergo apprenticeship training in Technical Training Centre, Rail Coach Factory (Kapurthala) under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be on the basis of marks obtained in Academic Qualification and Document Verification.
