Educational Qualification for AIIMS Recruitment 2023
(1) Professor:-
For Medical Candidates –
i) A medical qualification or schedule or Part III of the Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
ii) Candidate should possess Post Graduate qualification i.e. MD/ MS or equivalent in a related field in a recognized qualification discipline/subject.
and/ or
iii) M.Ch. For Surgical Super Specialty and DM for Medical Super Specialty (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or recognized equivalent qualification.
Experience:- Fourteen years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after qualification of M.D./M.S in the subject of specialization or its equivalent recognized qualification. Check the official notification for more details.
For Non-Medical Candidates –
i) Post Graduate Qualification i.e. Master’s degree in discipline/related subject.
ii) candidates must have a doctoral degree from a recognized university.
Experience:- Fourteen years of teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject Concerned after obtaining a doctoral degree.
(2) Additional Professor:-
For Medical Candidates –
1 to 2 same as for Professor (Medical)
Experience:- Candidates M.D. with ten years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution. / subject of specialization or equivalent qualification after qualification of M.S.
For Non-Medical Candidates –
1 & 2 are the same as for Professor (Non – Medical)
Experience:-Candidate should have a Doctoral degree with ten years of teaching and/or research experience in a relevant discipline/subject.
(3) Associate Professor:-
For Medical Candidates –
1 to 2 same as for Professor (Medical).
Experience:- Candidates should have six years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after qualification of M.D./ M.S in the subject of specialization or a recognized equivalent qualification.
For Non-Medical Candidates –
1 & 2 are the same as for Professor (Non–Medical).
Experience:- Candidates should have a Doctoral degree with six years of teaching and/or research experience in the relevant discipline/subject.
(4) Assistant Professor:-
For Medical Candidates –
1 to 2 same as for Professor (Medical).
Experience:- Candidates should have three years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution after qualification of M.D./M.S in the subject of specialization or its equivalent qualification.
For Non-Medical Candidates –

(5) Assistant Professor (Lecturer in Nursing):-
i) The Candidates Must have a Master’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution/University.
ii) The candidate should have five years of nursing experience with a minimum of two years of teaching experience.

A) Direct Recruitment –
(I) Professor – Minimum Pay of Rs. 1,68,900/- (+NPA for medically qualified candidates only)
(II) Additional Professor – Minimum Pay of Rs. 1,48,200/- (+NPA for medically qualified candidates only)
