Air India Limited (AIL) is recruiting eligible young boys and girls as “Trainee Cabin Crew” for Northern and Southern Regions. Total vacancies— 161 Nos. Eligible and interested candidates may apply online through the official website of AIL or may apply offline on prescribed application format (See PDF below). Selection of the candidates will be through Group Dynamics & Personality Assessment Test (GD & PAT). Educational qualification norms and brief details are given below —

TRAINEE CABIN CREW
Number of Vacancies: 161 Nos. Increased to 238 Nos.

Distribution of vacancies as per region wise —
Northern Region: 121 (Gen—92; SC—31; ST—9; OBC—66)
Southern Region: 40 Nos. (Gen—23; SC—5; ST—2; OBC—10)

 

Educational Qualification:
Graduate from a recognized University
OR
10+2 and three years’ Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology froma Government recognized Institute.
OR
10+2 with at least one year experience in passenger interface in an Airline or Hospitality Services.

Candidates should have fluency in English and Hindi language. Candidates having fluency in any Foreign Language of destination where Air India operates will be given preference.

 

Age Limit: Between 18 and 25 years as on 01-10-2014. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST is 05yrs and OBC is 03yrs.

 

Note: Only unmarried boys and girls who meet the above qualification criteria may apply. Candidates may apply for any one region only.

 

Physical Standards: Candidates should meet the following physical standards.
Height & BMI
For Female – Minimum 160 cms.
For Male – Minimum 172 cms.
(Relaxation of 5 cms for SC/ST candidates & those from North East states & hilly states)
Body Mass Index (BMI) should be as per standard norms. See pdf below for calculation of BMI.

Vision:
Near Vision: N/5 in better eye and N/6 in worst eye. Distant vision: 6/6 in one eye & 6/9 in another eye
Spectacles not allowed. Contact lenses up to + 2D permitted

 

Candidates’ Selection: Eligible candidates will be called for Group Dynamics & Personality Assessment Test (GD & PAT) at the venues as decided by Air India Limited. Candidates who qualify will further go for Written Test. Exact date and venue will be intimated in due course.

 

How to Apply:
Interested and eligible candidates may either apply online through the official website of Air India Ltd or can apply on prescribed application format which can be downloaded and printed on plain paper.

Online Application: Visit the official website of Air India Ltd (Live URL to Application form given below) and fill the online application. During submission of online application, candidates will also require to upload their scan copy of passport size photograph. Upon successful submission of online Application form, the system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and shall retain the same for future correspondence. Do not send the print-out to anywhere at this stage.

Offline Application: To apply offline, i.e. on hard copy application, candidates should download the prescribed application format from Air India’s website (See link below). The duly filled Application form should be enclosed with attested copies of testimonials in support of eligibility such as Qualification certificates, Age proof, Caste proof, Experience certificate, if any, and any other relevant documents, is to be send by Ordinary Post only. Candidate should also enclose a Demand Draft of below prescribed amount as Application Fee.

Application Fee: Candidates should prepare a Demand Draft of Rs.600/- in favour of AIR INDIA LIMITED, payable at DELHI in case of applying for NORTHERN REGION or payable at CHENNAI in case of applying for SOUTHERN REGION.

Note: Candidates who are applying Online will require to produce their Demand Draft when called for Group Dynamics & Personality Assessment Test (GD & PAT) whereas candidates applying offline will require to enclose the Demand Draft with Application form.
