Indian Air Force for the post of “Airman” in Group-‘X’ (Technical) is recruiting some unmarried males through face-to-face (Join the Rally) mode. Candidates from districts – Coochbehar, Malda, Purulia, Murshidabad, Jalpaiguri, East Medinipur, West Medinipur, North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur and Darjeeling of West Bengal may take their participation in the Rally. The eligibility of the candidate is given below—
Post: Airman
Recruitment will be for the following trades—Electronics, Electrical, Structures, Propulsion, Automobile, Mechanical System, Weapon Fitter, Workshop (Smith), Workshop (Mechanical) Fitter.
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass with Mathematics, Physics and English as compulsory subjects and may have acquired minimum 50% marks in aggregate may apply for the post.
Candidates with 3yrs Diploma Course on Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Information Technology or Instrumentation Technology from any Polytechnics or Recognised Institute and may have acquired minimum 50% marks in aggregate were also eligible to apply.
Age Limit: In both cases the age or the date of birth of the candidate should be within 1-1-1991 to 31-3-1995.
Physical Measurement: Height- 152.5 cm; Chest- should have ability to expand by 5cms. Weight: proportional to Age and Height.
Eye Sight and Fitness: For the post in Group-X (Technical) (Excluding- Electronics Fitter, Electrical Fitter, Weapon fitter, Automobile Fitter and Mechanical System Fitter) from both eyes should be 6/12 which can be corrected up-to 6/6 with Glass/Spectacle.
Ability to recognise color CPII.
Candidate should have ability to hear murmuring from far away of 6 meters. The Jaw/ rows of teeth should be well settled. Candidate should be in sound health.
The job will be of total 20 years which may extend until candidate reaches the 57yrs of age.
During the period of Training candidate will receive stipend of Rs.8550. if succeeded in training then will receive fixed salary.
Selections’ Steps: For selection of candidates first there will be verifying of all documents and then will be Written Test of 60 Marks. Written Test will be on the following topics—(I) English, (II) Mathematics and (III)Physics. Candidates who will acquire the qualifying marks in each paper; the Physical Ability Test will begin on the same day.
Physical Ability Test will be of—Race of 1.6 KM within 8 Minutes. If any candidate completes the race within 7min 30sec he will receive extra qualifying marks.
During Written Exam candidate should take Shoes, Pant and etc along with them. Candidate should clean their ears and teethes and should make preparation of staying for 2/3 days continuously.
Candidates selected in Written Test and Physical ability test will go through Interview and Medical Examination.
Rally for the candidates’ selection purpose will be from 17th to 22nd January 2012 at the following address—AF Auditorium Air Force Station Bagdogra (West Bengal).
Date of Written Test and Interview:-
For the candidates from districts – Sikkim, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, North Dinajpur, South Dinajpur; the Written Exam and Physical Ability Test will be on 17th January. And then for the selected candidates Trade Allocation Test, Medical Examination and Interview will be on 18th January.
For the candidates from districts – Coochbehar, Malda, Purulia, Murshidabad, East Medinipur, and West Medinipur ; the Written Test and Physical Ability Test will be on 19th January. And then for the selected candidates Trade Allocation Test, Medical Examination and Interview will be on 20th January.
During Written Examination candidate should bring HB Pencil, Rubber, Adhesive/Gum and Pen.
During Rally candidate should bring the following documents—
- Marksheet of Madhyamik and Certificate for Age proof and all other educational documents for Educational proof in Original and 3 copies of each in Attested.
- Recent taken 7 Nos. passport size photographs (do not attested- one copy pasted on Applicationform, 2 copies stitched on the top-left side of the Application and rest of 4copies should be kept for Written Examination.)
- 2 Nos. White color self-addressed envelope (24×10 cm) without any postal stamp
- Original copy of Residential Certificate.
