AIRMEN IN GROUP ‘Y’ (NON-TECHNICAL TRADES)
Name of Sports disciplines: Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycle Polo, Cycling, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Kabaddi, Lawn Tennis, Shooting, Squash, Swimming (Swimming & Diving), Volleyball, Water Polo, Weight Lifting and Wrestling.
Educational Qualification: Passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Class XII/ Equivalent Examination in any stream/ subjects from recognized Board.
Sports Achievements:
i) Individual should have represented the country in Junior/ Senior International meets in any of the above mentioned sports discipline.
ii) Individual should have attained the minimum standard of fifth place in the Junior National Championship, represented the State/ Units in Senior National Championships or Inter University Championship in above mentioned sports discipline.
iii) In team events, the individual should have represented state in Junior National Championship and National School Tournament conducted by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in above mentioned sports discipline.
iv) For Cricket discipline only: Only those Individuals to apply who have played BCCI Trophies – U-19, U-23, Ranji Trophy, Dilip Trophy, Deodhar Trophy or higher participation.
v) For Shooting discipline only: Only those Individuals to apply who have attained the minimum National Ranking up to 20th (NSCC) or International Participation/ Medal.
Note: The current achievement would be given preference during selection trials.
Age Limit: Should be born between 19/01/1999 to 01/01/2003.
Basic Pay: Rs.26900 per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Age relaxation would be considered in exceptional cases.
Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply.
Candidates represented International/ National (International Participation/ National Medal) level and achieved position but not possessing Intermediate/ 10+2/ Class XII educational qualification may also apply.
The selected candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) at Basic Training Institute. On successful completion of JBPT, candidates will be allocated trades and sent for trade/ sports training at specific Sports Nodal Centre for specified duration. During training, a Stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid to the candidates.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Sports Skill Trials and Medical Examination. The Selection Trials for recruitment will be held at New Willingdon Camp, Air Force Station New Delhi, Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi – 110003, from 18/11/2019 to 23/11/2019 at 07:00 AM.
