INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF) IS CONDUCTING RECRUITMENT RALLY FOR AIRMEN IN GROUP ‘X’ (EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR) AND GROUP ‘Y’ (MEDICAL ASSISTANT (WITH DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY)) TRADE FOR INTAKE- 01/2021. RALLY ON — From 24/02/2020 to 28/02/2020
AIRMEN
Educational Qualification:
i) For Group ‘X’ (Education Instructor trade):-
BA with English as one of the subjects or B.Sc with Physics/ Psychology/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ IT/ Computer Science/ Statistics as one of the subjects or BCA with minimum 50% marks. In addition, B.Ed degree with minimum 50% marks from a government recognized Institute, is mandatory.
OR
MA in English/ Psychology or M.Sc in Mathematics/ Physics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ IT or MCA with 50% marks. In addition, B.Ed degree with minimum 50% marks from a government recognized Institute, is mandatory.
ii) For Group ‘Y’ (Medical Assistant trade):-
Candidate should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Class XII or Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate as well as in English in Class XII or equivalent examination. In addition, the candidate must possess the Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized Civil Institute and be registered with Pharmacy Council of India or any other Government recognized body.
Age Limit: Born between 17/01/1996 and 30/12/2000 (for Graduates) and Born between 17/01/1993 and 30/12/2000 (for Post-Graduates) for Group ‘X’ (Education Instructor) Trade; Born between 17/01/2000 and 30/12/2003 for Group ‘Y’ (Medical Assistant) Trade.
Basic Pay: Rs.40600 per month for Education Instructor Trade and Rs.26900 per month for Medical Assistant Trade.
NOTE: Only Male Indian/ Nepalese candidates from State of Karnataka are eligible to take part in recruitment rally.
Initially, the selected candidates will be sent for a Joint Basic Phase Training (JBPT) at designated Basic Training Institute located at various Air Force Stations. On successful completion of JBPT candidates will be sent for trade training of specific duration which will include security training or any other training as per service requirements.
During the training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be paid to the candidates.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 152.5 cm; Chest — Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm; Weight — Proportionate to height and age.

Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Test, Adaptability Test-1, Instructional Ability Test, Adaptability Test-2 and Medical Examination.
