Airmen in Group-X (Technical) in Indian Air Force. Apply within 23/05/2012.

Indian Air Force is conducting a selection test in August for the candidates who wills to apply as an “Airman” in Group—X (Technical) trades. Only unmarried male candidates may apply. Application form, as per format, on A4 size paper should be prepared and should reach the below mentioned address within 23 may 2012. Brief details below—

AIRMEN IN GROUP-X (TECHNICAL) TRADES.

Qualification: Higher Secondary pass (Class-10+2) with subjects—Mathematics, Physics and English and may have scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
OR Candidates who have passed 3 years Diploma course in Engineering in discipline of Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from recognised Polytechnics were also eligible to apply.

Date of Birth/ Age: Candidates should be born between 1st October 1991 to 30 November 1995

Medical Standards: —
Height: 152.5 cms
Chest: ability to expand by 5 cms
Weight: proportionate to height and age as per medical standard.
Candidates should have good hearing power and eye sight (refer the Advt.) as well as should have sound health free from any physically and mentally defect.

Pay Scale: During training, a stipend of Rs.8550 will be given and after completion of training—Rs.20542 to Rs.36250 per month plus other allowances.

Selection Steps: Candidates will be selected through (i) Written Test, (ii) Physical Fitness Test, (iii) Interview, (iv) Trade Allocation Test and (v) Medical Examination.
Candidates should get their tartar & stains removed from the teeth and Ears should be free of wax before appearing written test.
Written test will be on month of August. Exact date and venue will be informed to the candidates at later stage.
Examination centre will be at — AMBALA, NEW DELHI, KANPUR, BARRACKPORE, JODHPUR, MUMBAI, BENGALURU, CHENNAI, BHUBANESWAR, BIHTA (PATNA), GUWAHATI, SECUNDERABAD, KOCHI and BHOPAL.
During written test candidates should bring all the testimonials/ documents in original without which candidates will not be allowed to sit in the examination.

How to Apply: Prepare application form on plain A4 size paper as per prescribed format. Application format is available on official website of Indian Air Force — http://www.indianairforce.nic.in
Along with application, enclosed the following documents: —

  • 3 Nos. passport size photographs (one copy pasted on Application form and two others are to be stapled to the left top corner of application form). Note: The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his Name, DoB and Date of photography clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters. Keep extra six similar photographs for further use.
  • Birth proof certificate (Attested copy of Madhyamik certificate is to be given)
  • Attested copies of Qualification certificate/ degree or diploma certificate
  • One self-addressed envelope (24 x 10 cm – white) without any postal stamp
  • Attested copies of any other relevant documents.

On the top of the application form containing envelope, write clearly in bold—
(i) “FOR GROUP ‘X’ (TECHNICAL) TRADES”
(ii) “AGGREGATE PERCENTAGE OF MARKS_____%
(iii) If the candidate is a “Son of Serving / Discharged / Deceased Officer / Airman / NC (E) / Air Force Unit Cadre Civilian must write only “SOAFP” in RED INK (if applicable).

Last Date: Application form should reach within or on 23rd May 2012 (including far flung candidates).

Application form should be sent by Ordinary Post Only to – “PRESIDENT, CENTRAL AIRMEN SELECTION BOARD, POST BOX No. 11807, NEW DELHI – 110 010”.
