JUNIOR ASSISTANT (FIRE SERVICE)
No. of Vacancies: 105 Nos. (UR-56, SC-13, ST-17, OBC-19)
Educational Qualification: 10th Pass plus 3 years’ approved regular Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile / Fire with minimum 50% marks OR 12th Pass (Regular Study) with 50% marks.
Candidates must have valid Driving license for Heavy Vehicle, Medium Vehicle issued at least one year before and Light Motor Vehicle License issued at least two years before.
Desirable: Weightage shall be given to a candidate possessing any one or more (subject to maximum limit of the following)
a) Computer Science as subject at 12th class level;
b) NCC-B Certificate;
c) Relevant experience in an aviation/regular/industrial fire service.
d) Basic Fire Fighting Training Course from AAI Fire Training Establishment;
e) Sub Fire Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.
Age Limit: Minimum- 18 years and maximum-30 years as on 30/06/2017.
Pay Scale: Rs.12,500 – Rs.28,500
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 167 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 81cm; Chest (expanded) — 86 cm; Weight — Min 55 kgs.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cms.; Chest — N/A; Weight — Min 45 kgs.
Cut-off in Physical Standards: Relaxation by 3 cms in height and chest measurement and proportionate relaxation in weight will be allowed to candidates of hilly areas on production of Bonafide certificates. However, minimum chest expansion must be 5 cms. No other
relaxation will be allowed to any other category.. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Physical deformity, chronic diseases, color blindness, night blindness, squint eye, flat foot, bow legs, knocking knee and refractive error will be considered as disqualification.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Computer based/online examination, Physical measurement, Driving test and Physical endurance test.
Computer based/online test will be held in Kolkata.
