Andaman & Nicobar Police – Recruitment for the 11 post of Constable (Wireless) in India Reserved Battalion. Only male candidates are eligible to apply. ANDAMAN & NICOBAR POLICE INVITES APPLICATION FOR 11 POSTS OF CONSTABLE (WIRELESS). LAST DATE – 15/10/2014

CONSTABLE (WIRELESS)
Number of Vacancies: 11 Nos. (Gen—6; OBC—5)

 

Educational Qualification: Class 12 pass with Science and Mathematics.
Desirable—Certificate in radio engineering from a recognized ITI is desirable.

 

Age Limit: 18 to 25yrs as on 15/10/2014. Upper age relaxation is 3 years for OBC candidates.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2000/-

 

Physical Standards (for all candidates): Height—168 cms; Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—81/86 cms; Weight—50 kgs.

Physical Endurance Test:
(i) 01 Mile race to be completed in 7 minutes.
(ii) 12 feet Long Jump in 03 chances.
(iii) 04 feet High Jump in 03 chances.

Eye Sight: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction. Candidates should not be color blindness.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties

 

Written Test and Interview:
Candidates who qualify in Physical Measurement and Physical Endurance Test will undergo a Written Test. The Question paper for written test will be set in Hindi and English and will consists – General Knowledge, Simple Arithmetic and Hindi/ English language. Written Test will be of 85 marks.
Candidates qualifying the Written Test will be called for Interview/ Personality test. The Interview will be of 10 marks.
The Physical Measurement, Endurance Test, Written Test and Interview will be held at Police Lines, Port Blair.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See PDF below). Application form will be also available at all the Police Stations with effect from 15/09/2014 to 15/10/2014.
Candidates may submit the application along with self-attested copies of testimonials such as Qualification certificate, Age proof, Caste certificate, Etc and 03 passport size photograph (one affixed on the form and other two as enclosures.

 

Last Date and Address: The duly filled Application form can be submitted/sent at the following address — “Dy. Superintendent of Police (Estt.), Police Head Quarter, Atlanta Point, Port Blair”. Application form can be also submitted at the concerned Police Stations.
The last date of receipt of application is 15/10/2014.
