Recruitment of 1450 Clerk and Probation Officer in Andhra Bank for H.S. and Graduate Boys/Girls

Central Government Enterprise- Andhra Bank is recruiting 1450 boys/girls for the post of Clerk and Probationary Officer. Higher Secondary and Graduate pass candidates can apply for the post. Name of the post and qualification required is given below.

Clerk: Higher Secondary pass in any stream with 60% marks obtained (55% marks for SC/ST, PH and Ex-Serviceman candidates) can apply. Graduate pass candidates in any stream were also eligible to apply.

Age should be between 18yrs to 28 yrs as on 31.12.2010. Candidates applying for a particular state should have fluency in speaking, writing and reading of that state’s official language. Salary per month will be Rs.7200- 19300; beginning pay scale will be Rs.11471. Vacant post in West Bengal: 10 nos. Probationary Officer: Graduate pass with total 60% of marks in any stream (55% for SC/ST and PH candidates) can apply. Age should be 21 years to 30 years as on 31.12.2010. Pay scale on beginning will be approx Rs. 22971; Net salary will be Rs. 14500-25700 per month.

Vacant post: 450 nos. (Gen- 229, OBC-121, SC- 67 and ST-33) among them there are reserved seats for PH and E.C. candidates. Job will be given on J.M.G. – I Scale, Code: 1

Candidates’ selection will be done on basis of written test and then Interview, in case of Probationary Officer, the written test will be held on 8 May on their respective given centres.

For the post of Probationary Officer, the written test will be of 200 marks and will consist 225 nos. of Objectives Types Questions on the following topics (i) Test of Reasoning, (ii) Test of Quantitative Aptitude, (iii) Test of General Awareness and (iv) Test of English Language. Time allotted: 135 minutes and there will be negative markings. Except this there will be Descriptive paper of 100 marks of 60 minutes and questions will be set on English.

For the post of Clerk there will be Objective Types Questions of 200 marks from 200 questions on the following topics: (i) Test of Clerical Aptitude, (ii) Test of English Language, (iii) Test of Numerical Ability and (iv) Test of Reasoning. Descriptive type paper will be of 100 marks of 60 minutes. Questions will be set in English, Hindi or Official Language of the State.

How to apply: The submission of the Application form can be done through Online only by visiting the Official Website of the Andhra bank: www.andhrabank.in.

Candidates will have to pay Application fee of Rs. 400 for the post of Probationary officer (SC/ST and PH should pay Rs.75 only) and Rs. 250 for the post of Clerk (SC/ST, PH and Ex-Serv. Should pay Rs.75 only)
Fee should be paid through Fee Payment Challan only from any Branch of Andhra Bank.

After making the fee deposit, candidates can visit the Bank’s website and should mention all the asked details carefully. Finally after submitting the form, make a print-out of the computer generated form and keep it safely after affixing a recent passport size photograph, there is no need to send anything through post. Candidates should have valid email id of their own. Do not share email id with others.

Print-out application form and Fee challan should be produced before entering the examination hall, failing of such will not be allowed to sit in written test.
