Govt. of Andhra Pradesh- Prohibition and Excise Department, is recruiting 2606 Males/ Females for the post of – “Prohibition and Excise Constable” through District Selection Committee. The appointment  will be in State of Andhra Pradesh and numbers of vacancies varies from District to District. Qualification requirement and brief information is given below. Qualification Required: SSC or its equivalent.

Age Limits: between 18yrs to 30yrs as on 01/07/2012. Upper age relaxation  for SC/ST and BC—5yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others—as per norms.

Pay scale: Rs.7960—Rs.23650 per month

Physical Standard —
Men: Height—165cms, Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded) : 81cm/ 86cm
Women: Height—152.5 cms; Weight—minimum 45.5 kg
Eye Sight: 6/6 in distant vision from both eyes
Candidates should be physically fit and free from Color blindness, squint or any bordlid condition of the eyes of lids of either eye, knock-knees, pigeon chest, flat foot, varicose veins, hammertoes, fractured limbs or decayed teeth

Upon successful submission of Online application, a system generated application form with acknowledgement/ Registration No. will appear. Candidates should print-out it for further correspondence.

Application fee: Rs. 300/- for General and Other candidates (Rs.150/- only for SC/ST category). SC/ST candidates of other states will not be entitled for fee concession. Application fee can be made through Online or Offline mode as per instruction given in the notification (Notification link is given below).

Selection of the candidates will be through Preliminary Qualifying Test, i.e. run of 4 KM for Men and 2 KM for Women to be completed within 20 minutes (13 minutes in case of Women).
Qualified candidates will be then go through Physical Efficiency Test (PET) which will include 100 Mtrs run, High Jump, Long Jump and Shot Put.
Candidates who qualify Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will sit for Written Test which will be on – General Aptitude and General Knowledge. Questions paper will be in English, Telugu and Urdu.
