1. GRADUATE APPRENTICE TRAINEES
No. of Vacancies: 90 Nos.
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Production Engg.: 40 posts
ii) Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engg.: 20 posts
iii) Elect & Electronics Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Telecom Engg.: 14 posts
iv) Computer Science/ Computer Engg./ Information Science & Technology Engg.: 12 posts
v) Metallurgy/ Material Science: 02 posts
vi) Civil Engg. or Equivalent: 02 posts
Educational Qualification: A degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized University/ Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 07.09.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.4984/- per month.
2. DIPLOMA APPRENTICE TRAINEES
No. of Vacancies: 30 Nos.
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Mechanical/ Production/ Tool & Die design: 15 posts
ii) Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation: 10 posts
iii) Computer Science/ Engg.: 05 posts
Educational Qualification: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology from recognized State Council or Board of Technical Educational/ University/ Institute or Sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he/ she may hold a Diploma in Engg./ Technology.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 07.09.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.3542/- per month.
3. ITI APPRENTICE TRAINEES
No. of Vacancies: 30 Nos.
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Machinist: 04 posts
ii) Fitter: 06 posts
iii) Turner: 04 posts
iv) Electrician: 02 posts
v) Welder: 02 posts
vi) Sheet Metal Worker: 02 posts
vii) Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA): 10 posts
Educational Qualification: i) A certificate in vocational Course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognised by the All India Council for Technical education.
ii) A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he may hold a certificate mentioned in (i) above.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 07.09.2019.
The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 at Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) – Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru.
Duration of training will be in accordance with Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules and its amendments from time to time.
Note:
i) For BE/ B.Tech/ Diploma Apprentice trainees, candidates who have passed in the year 2017/ 2018/ 2019 are only eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam earlier than 2017 are not eligible.
ii) Candidates with post graduate qualification are not eligible to apply.
iii) Those candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but whose results have not been declared/ available as on 07/09/2019 will not be considered for training.
iv) Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or at present undergoing apprenticeship training under any organization are not eligible to apply.
v) Candidates with more than one year work experience are not eligible to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam followed by Screening Test/ Interview. Screening Test/ Interview or both may be conducted at Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru. The Written Test/ Interview will be held on 24/09/2019, 25/09/2019 & 26/09/2019 for ITI Apprentices, Diploma Apprentices and Graduate Apprentices respectively.
