Selection is based purely on performance in the Common Computer Based Test (CBT):
- The CBT will be conducted in English only, for a duration of 3 hours.
- Marks shall be normalized if the exam is conducted in multiple shifts/sessions.
- A merit list (1:1 ratio against notified vacancies, category-wise) will be prepared based on CBT marks.
- Shortlisted candidates undergo Certificate Verification, after which a final Selection List is published.
- Allotment to APTRANSCO/APGENCO/APEPDCL/APCPDCL/APSPDCL and the respective Zone/Unit is based on merit, reservation, local candidature, vacancy availability and the candidate’s stated preference — which is final and cannot be altered after submission.
- There is no waiting list; unfilled vacancies, if any, are carried forward to future recruitment.
