INDIAN ARMY, ARMY RECRUITING OFFICE GAYA INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY (ALL ARMS), SOLDIER TECHNICAL, SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT/ NURSING ASSISTANT VETERINARY, SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL (ALL ARMS) AND SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS). LAST DATE — 19/01/2020
1. SOLDIER GENERAL DUTY (ALL ARMS)
No. of Vacancies: Nos.
Educational Qualification: SSLC/ Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject OR candidate passed from grading system should secure D grade (33-40) in each subject and minimum 45% OR C-2 grade or 4.75 points in aggregate.
Note: No aggregate percentage required for 10+2 and above, however, minimum 33% in each subject required in SSLC/ Matric.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 21 years.
2. SOLDIER TECHNICAL
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.
3. SOLDIER NURSING ASSISTANT/ NURSING ASSISTANT VETERINARY
Educational Qualification: 10+2/ Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
OR
10+2/ Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.
4. SOLDIER CLERK/ STORE KEEPER TECHNICAL (ALL ARMS)
Educational Qualification: i) 10+2/ Intermediate exam passed in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject.
ii) Should have studied and passed English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class X or Class XII with 50% marks in each subjects.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.
5. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS 10TH PASS)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 10th Simple Pass (for Artisan Woodwork, Chef, Dresser, Painter and Decorator, Steward, Support Staff (ER), Tailor and Washerman).
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.
6. SOLDIER TRADESMAN (ALL ARMS 08TH PASS)
Educational Qualification: i) Class 8th Simple Pass (for House Keeper and Mess Keeper).
ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored minimum 33% in each subject.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 ½ years and maximum 23 years.
Only Male candidates of districts- Arwal, Aurangabad, Gaya, Jamui, Jehanabad, Kaimur, Lakhisarai, Nalanda, Nawada, Rohtas and Sheikhpura are eligible to apply.

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 169 cms (162 cms for Soldier Clerk/ Store Keeper Technical and Adivasi candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cms; Chest (expanded) — 82 cms; Weight — 50 kgs (48 kgs for Adivasi candidates).
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Test and Written Test through Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
