Eligibility Criteria for Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board Recruitment 2024

(1) Assistant Director General (Animal Health), ICAR Headquarters, New Delhi 

Qualification:- (i) Candidates must possess a Doctoral degree in any Animal Health Discipline of Veterinary Sciences
OR
Doctoral degree in Veterinary Science with a minimum of 10 years of post-Ph.D. research experience in Veterinary Science with a focus on Animal Health.

(ii) At least 5 years experience as a Principal Scientist/Professor or in an equivalent position.

Desirable:- Candidates should demonstrate leadership and Expertise in Animal Health.

(2) Assistant Director General (Inland Fisheries), ICAR Headquarters, New Delhi

Qualification:- (i) Candidates must possess a Doctoral Degree in any discipline of Fisheries Science/Fisheries Technology with a specialization in Inland Fisheries/Aquaculture
or
Doctoral Degree in Basic Science with specialization in Inland Fisheries/Aquaculture
or
with a Doctoral Degree in Veterinary/Animal Science/Basic Science Minimum of 10 years of research experience in any field of internal Fisheries / Aquaculture.

(ii) At least 5 years experience as a Principal Scientist/Professor or in an equivalent position.

Desirable:- Scientific leadership and experience in inland fisheries and Aquaculture.

(3) Assistant Director General (Plant Protection and Biosafety), ICAR Headquarters, New Delhi

Qualification:- (i) Candidates must possess a Doctorate degree in any branch of Agricultural Science with a specialization in Entomology/ Plant Pathology/ Nematology/ Agricultural Chemicals/ Biosecurity.
or
Doctoral Degree in Basic Science with specialization in Plant Protection / Biosecurity.

(ii) At least 5 years experience as a Principal Scientist/Professor or in an equivalent position.

Desirable:- Scientific leadership and experience in plant protection/ Biosecurity.

(4) Director, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi (Deemed to be University)

Qualification:- (i) Candidates must possess a Doctorate Degree in any discipline of Agricultural Science or Basic Science with specialization in Plant/Crop Biotechnology, Genetics, Breeding, and Molecular Biology.

(ii) A Scientist/Teacher with at least 10 years of experience as Principal Scientist/Professor or equivalent.

Desirable:- The candidate should have demonstrated scientific leadership and expertise in research management with a national broad perspective and International agricultural research, policy planning, and development of International linkages/cooperation.

(5) Director, ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru

Qualification:- (i) Candidates should possess a Doctorate Degree in any discipline of Horticultural Science.
or
Doctoral Degree in Agricultural Science / Basic Science with a minimum of 10 years post-PhD research experience in horticultural crops.

(ii) At least 5 years experience as a Principal Scientist/Professor or in one equivalent position

Desirable: – Experience in Development/Production/Management Processing and value addition to horticulture crops.

Application Fee for ASRB Recruitment 2024

Application Fee Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred Only) for each post should be deposited through Bharatkosh (bharatkosh.gov.in) while filling out the online application form available at the website: http://www.asrb.org.in as well as the online application available at the website. Form: http://www.asrb.org .in as per instructions given in Annexure-IV only. Payment can be made through a Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI from any bank. Transaction charges for debit card/credit card/net banking/UPI payment, as the case may be, shall be borne by the candidate. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/Disabled category and women need not pay any fee.

Candidates have to apply online only through the www.asrb.org.in website. No other mode of filling out an application is allowed.

Upon successful payment of the prescribed fee and submission of the online application form, the system-generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. All the verification will be done in due course.

Candidates have to upload the documents mentioned in the application form. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/Dibang category must upload a self-attested copy of the relevant caste/category certificate issued by the competent authority.
