OFFICE OF THE ADDL. DIRECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE CUM- DIRECTOR, FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES, ASSAM, GUWAHATI INVITES APPLICATION FOR 175 VACANCIES. LAST DATE – 16/12/2014
1. Sub-Officer: 7 posts.
Qualification: Higher secondary (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. Fireman: 101 posts.
Qualification: Higher Secondary (Science) pass or equivalent examination.
3. Emergency Rescuer of SDRF Bn: 13 posts.
Qualification: Higher Secondary (Science) pass or equivalent examination
4. Driver: 42 posts.
Qualification: Class VIII pass and must possess valid driving license for Heavy Motor Vehicles.
5. Driver Operator (in the rank of Constable) of SDRF Bn.: 12 posts.
Qualification: Class VIII pass and must possess valid driving license for Heavy Motor Vehicles.
Note: Additional weightage during Interview will be given to the candidates who have knowledge of swimming and diving (except for the post of Driver & Driver Operator)

Age Limit: Between 20 to 24 years for the post of Sub-Officer and between 18 to 25 years for rest of all posts. Age will be counted as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is as per Govt. norms. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 for all posts with Grade Pay: Rs.2400 for Sub-Officer and Rs.2100 for rest of all posts.
