Name of the Post: ARMED BRANCH CONSTABLE

Number of Vacancies: 6748 Nos.

Educational Qualification: HSLC or Class X passed.

 

Age Limit: 18 to 25yrs as on 01-01-2015. Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is as per norms.

 

Physical Standards:

Male candidates: Height—162.56 (160.02cms for ST) and Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—80cms/ 85cms (78/83 cms for ST)

Female candidates: Height – 154.94 cms ( 152.40 cms for ST); Chest – Not applicable for women candidates.

Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

 

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—2200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2200/- per month.

 

Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Test and Written Test.

The date and venue of physical test and Written Test would be intimated in due course of time by various means and through the Assam Police website — www.assampolice.gov.in.
