The vacancies are under Compassionate Ground Appointment Scheme in Assam Rifles. Eligible Male and Female candidates may apply.
Only one eligible dependent family member of Assam Rifles Personnel killed in action, died while in service, discharged from service on medical grounds and missing while in service, are eligible to apply.
Note: Candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped Category are not eligible to apply for the above posts.
The recruitment rally for the posts will tentatively be held from 19th August, 2019 onwards at Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles, Laitkor, Shillong (Meghalaya) NRS- Guwahati (Assam).
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 170 cms (165 cms for Havildar Clerk & Warrant Officer) (162.5 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 80 cms (77 cms for Havildar Clerk & Warrant Officer) (76 cms for ST); Chest (expanded) — 85 cms (82 cms for for Havildar Clerk & Warrant Officer) (81 cms for ST)
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cms (155 cms for Havildar Clerk & Warrant Officer) (150 cms for ST candidates)
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Trade (Skill) Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination.
