RIFLEMAN (GENERAL DUTY)

Name of the sports where vacancies are available:
i) Archery (Both male and female)
ii) Boxing (Both male and female)
iii) Equestrian (Male)
iv) Football (Both male and female)
v) Judo (Both male and female)
vi) Karate-DO (Both male and female)
vii) Taekwondo (Both male and female)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation from a recognised Board.
Sport Qualifications: Players who have participated in any International Competition / National Competition / Inter-University Tournaments / National Sports / Games for Schools / Physical Efficiency Drive. (See advt. given below in PDF format)
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-23 years as on 01/06/2017.
Basic Pay: Rs.21,700/- per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.
Physical Standards (For all above posts):
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 170 cm (162.5 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 80 cm (76 cm for ST); Chest (expanded) — 85 cm (81 cm for ST); Weight — As per height
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cm (150 cm for ST candidates); Chest — Not applicable (Not applicable for ST); Weight — As per height
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high color vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Physical Fitness, Medical Examination and Field Trials.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Recruitment Branch, HQ DGAR, Shillong-793010.
NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST/ FEMALE CANDIDATES.
