ASSISTANT COMMANDANT
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos. (UR-05, EWS-01, OBC-02, SC-01, Ex-SM-01)
Educational Qualification: Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical Communication Engineering or Electronics from a recognized University or Institute or Associate Member of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer or Associate member os the Institution of Engineers or equivalent or M.Sc in Electronics or Telecommunication or Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized University/ Institution.
Desirable: Possession of NCC-“B” or “C” Certificate.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years
Pay Scale: Rs.56100 — Rs.177500
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

Candidates appearing in the examination/ awaiting result/ not in possession of educational/ professional certificates are not eligible to apply.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cm; Chest (unexpanded) — 81 cm; Chest (expanded) — 86 cm
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cm
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination, Documentation and Interview/ Personality Test.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs.400/-. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC, ST, EX-SERVICEMEN AND FEMALE CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL (SSB) AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
