Assistant Commandant in Coast Guard. Graduate/ Engineering Boys/Girls may apply.

Indian Coast Guard is recruiting some hundreds of Boys and Girls for the post of “Assistant Commandant” at the rank of Group-A Gazetted Officer. Willing boys and girls as per under mentioned criteria may apply for the post. Details below—

1. Assistant Commandant (General Duty)
Qualification: Graduate boys/girls who have acquired 60% marks in aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects in Higher Secondary Exam and 60% marks in aggregate in graduation may apply for the post.
Date of birth: within 1-1-1987 to 30-6-1991
Physical Standard: Height- 157cms (152cm for candidates from/of Assam, Tripura and Gorkha); ability to expand chest by 5cm and body weight should be proportional to Age and Height as medical standard. Eye sight—6/6 with good eye and 6/9 with bad eye.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600 to 39100 and Grade Pay—Rs.5400

2. Assistant Commandant Technical Branch (Electrical)
Qualification: Electrical or Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering Graduate candidates with 60% marks may apply. Candidates with total 60% marks in M.Tech and B.E/ B.Tech were also eligible to apply.
Date of Birth: within 1-7-1982 to 30-6-1991
Physical Standard and Salary is same as of Assistant Commandant (General Duty). Eye Sight—6/12 with good eyes and 6/36 with bad eyes.

3. Assistant Commandant General Duty (Pilot and Navigator/ Observer)
Qualification: Higher Secondary passed with 60% marks in aggregate and then B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics and may have acquired 55% marks may apply for the post.
If not qualified in Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) then do not apply.
Date of Birth: within 1-7-1985 to 30-6-1993
Physical Standard: Height- within 162.5 to 197 cms. Ability to expand chest by 5 cm and weight should be proportional to height and weight.
Eyesight: 6/6 with both eyes without glass.
Pay scale: Rs.15600 to Rs.39100 and grade pay of Rs.5400. Beside this, flying allowances of Rs.9000 to Rs.14000 per month.

4. Assistant Commandant (Commercial Pilot Licence)
Qualification: Unmarried boys and girls with 60% marks in Higher Secondary and with “Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)” may apply for the post.
DOB, Pay scale and Physical Measurement is same as above post.

For all the above mentioned posts, age relaxation for OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs. First 2yrs will be on Probation. Training will begin on January of coming year. Stipend will be given during training period plus other allowances.
If candidates have Sports/NCC certificate then attention will be given.

Selections’ Steps: Candidates will be called for Preliminary Test first which will be on February. If qualified then Mental Ability Test on the same day. And then Picture perception and Discussion Test. Finally there will be Medical examination.
Written test will be at Indian Coast Guard Air Squadran, Naval Transmitting Station, Military Camp, Bagjhola, Private Road, DumDum, Kolkata—74.

After submitting online form, make 2 copy print-out of computer generated application for. During Written Test candidates will have to produce all essential documents in original and attested copies.
