INDIAN COAST GUARD INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT COMMANDANT (GENERAL DUTY, GENERAL DUTY (SSA), COMMERCIAL PILOT ENTRY (SSA), TECHNICAL (ENGINEERING & ELECTRICAL) AND LAW) FOR 01- 2020 BATCH. LAST DATE — 04/06/2019
1. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT- GENERAL DUTY (MALE)
Educational Qualification: i) Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree from any recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (i.e. 1st Semester to 8th Semester for BE/ B.Tech Course or 1st year to last year for Bachelor Degree candidates wherever applicable).
ii) Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or Class XIIth of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with 60% aggregate in Mathematics and Physics.
Age Limit: Born between 01/07/1995 to 30/06/1999.
2. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT- GENERAL DUTY (SSA) (FEMALE)
Educational Qualification: i) Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s degree from any recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (i.e. 1st Semester to 8th Semester for BE/ B.Tech Course or 1st year to last year for Bachelor Degree candidates wherever applicable).
ii) Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or Class XIIth of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with 60% aggregate in Mathematics and Physics.
Age Limit: Born between 01/07/1995 to 30/06/1999.
3. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT- COMMERCIAL PILOT ENTRY (CPL) (SSA) (MALE/ FEMALE)
Educational Qualification: i) XIIth pass (Physics and Mathematics) with 60% marks in aggregate.
ii) Candidates holding current/ valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) issued/ validated by Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Age Limit: Born between 01/07/1995 to 30/06/2001.
4. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT- TECHNICAL (ENGINEERING & ELECTRICAL) (MALE)
Educational Qualification: i) Engineering degree with 60% marks in aggregate or Should have passed Sections A and B examination from the Institution of Engineers (India) in any of the discipline given below with 60% marks.
a) Engineering Branch:- Naval architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace.
b) Electrical Branch:- Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engg. or Power Electronics.
ii) Atleast 60% marks in aggregate in Physics and Maths in 12th class.
OR
Three year diploma course with an aggregate of 60%.
Age Limit: Born between 01/07/1995 to 30/06/1999.
5. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT- LAW (MALE/ FEMALE)
Educational Qualification: A degree in Law with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University. (Three years degree in law after graduation or Five years after 10+2 examination).
Age Limit: Born between 01/07/1990 to 30/06/1999.
Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply.
Note:-
i) Candidates not in possession of Physics and Maths in 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent level are not eligible for General Duty (GD) and General Duty (SSA).
ii) Maximum 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate for SC/ST candidates, NCC ‘C’ (A grade) holders, Sports person of National level (Inter State & above) and wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service.
iii) Candidates who have not completed their Law Degree (i.e. appearing candidates) are not eligible to apply.
iv) Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any other service training academy are not eligible to apply.
v) Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted or prosecuted on criminal charges.
vi) Only candidates who have cleared their final year/ final semester exams and completed their degrees are eligible to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category.

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
