ASSISTANT CONTROLLER OF LEGAL METROLOGY
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (UR-02, OBC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification:
i) Graduate of a recognised University in Science (with Physics as one of the subjects), technology or Engineering or a recognised Diploma in Engineering.
ii) Knowledge of Bengali or Nepali, spoken and written.
Experience: Three years’ experience in a Government office or in a statutory body or in a Commercial Organisation of repute.
Desirable: Diploma in Consumer Affairs from Netaji Subhash Open University or its equivalent. For more details please see the Official Advt.
Age Limit: Maximum 36 years as on 01.01.2019.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,700/-.
Note:Â Candidates should have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those whose mother tongue is Nepali).

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Upto the age of 45 years for PWD candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview. If the number of applications received is large, the Commission may restrict the number of candidates for Interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either higher qualifications in the relevant subjects/ higher standard of marks/ grade obtained in the essential qualifications or on the basis of a Screening Test.
