WEST BENGAL PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (PSCWB) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 51 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HORTICULTURE AND GEOGRAPHY MISTRESS. LAST DATE — 06/02/2020

 

1. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HORTICULTURE

No. of Vacancies: 50 Nos. (UR-26, SC-09, ST-03, OBC-09, PWD-03)

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor degree in Horticulture/ Agriculture with Horticulture as an elective subject from a recognized University.

Desirable: Master Degree in Horticulture from a recognized University.

Age Limit: Maximum 36 years as on 01/01/2020.

Pay Scale: Rs.15600 — Rs.42000

 

2. GEOGRAPHY MISTRESS

No. of Vacancies: 01 Nos. (PWD) (In Dowhill Girls School, Kurseong)

Educational Qualification: i) A Second Class Master’s degree or Honours degree in Geography of an Indian University or equivalent.
ii) A degree in Teaching or Education or equivalent (a candidate not possessing this qualification may also apply. For details please see the Official Advt.).
iii) Teaching experience in English medium in Secondary Schools, preferably residential ones, relaxable for otherwise well qualified candidates.
iv) Ability to teach in English medium.

Desirable: i) Ability to organize extracurricular activities such as performance of dramas, organization of literary meetings, educational excursions etc.
ii) Knowledge of Bengali- spoken and written.
iii) Knowledge of Nepali- spoken and written.

Age Limit: Maximum 37 years as on 01/01/2020.

Pay Scale: Rs.15600 — Rs.42000

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and upto the age of 45 years for PWD category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Note:- Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is an essential requirement (not required for those whose mother tongue is Nepali).

Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, the Commission may restrict the number of candidates to be called for Interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either higher qualification in the relevant subjects/ higher standard of marks/ grade obtained in the essential qualifications or experience or on the basis of a Preliminary Screening Test (PST).

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen.
