1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (TRAINEE) OF E&M CADRE
No. of Vacancies: 298 Nos.
Category wise vacancies:
i) Electrical: 271 posts
ii) Computer Science/ Information Technology: 22 posts
iii) Electronics and Telecommunication: 05 posts
Educational Qualification:
i) For Electrical:- A Degree in Electrical Engineering or a mixed discipline degree combined with Electrical Engineering.
ii) For Computer Science/ Information Technology:- A Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology or a mixed discipline degree combined with either Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology.
iii) For Electronics and Telecommunication:- A Degree in Electronics Engineering or Communication Engineering or Tele-communication Engineering or mixed discipline degree combined with either Electronics Engineering or Communication Engineering or Tele-communication Engineering.
OR
iv) Passed Section A and B of the Institution Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in relevant discipline.
v) Candidates should have sufficient knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Lipi.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay: Rs.56100/- per month.
2. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (TRAINEE) OF CIVIL CADRE
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (Civil Engineering)
Educational Qualification: i) A Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution, or a Degree or Diploma recognized as equivalent thereto.
OR
ii) Section ‘A’ & ‘B’ the Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India).
OR
iii) Be an Associate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (London).
iv) Candidates should have sufficient knowledge of Hindi in Devnagri Lipi.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/01/2019.
Pay: Rs.56100/- per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/OBC of Uttar Pradesh and 15 years for PWD category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis. The vacancies are under E&M Cadre and Civil Cadre.
The selected candidates will undergo Training Programme for a period as decided by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL).
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Uttar Pradesh will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Based Test (CBT) and Personal Interview. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held at Allahabad, Aligarh, Varanasi, Gorakpur, Agra, Kanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Jhansi, Muzaffarnagar, etc. Tentative date for Computer Based Test (CBT) is 1st week of November, 2019.
