ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL)
No. of Vacancies: 31 Nos. (UR-15, SEBC-09, SC-05, ST-02. Out of which, 01 post is reserved for PWD)
Educational Qualification: i) Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from any recognized University or Institution OR candidate must be an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers of India in Electrical Engineering.
ii) The candidate must have knowledge in Odia, i.e. he/ she must be able to read, write and speak Odia and have:-
a) Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject, or
b) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subject, or
c) Passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class-VII from a School or Educational Institution recognized by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Govt., or
d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department/ Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2019.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Ex-servicemen/Women and 10 years for PWD category. Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
The vacancies are in Group- ‘A’ of Odisha Engineering Services under the Department of Energy.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test and Viva Voce Test. The Written Test will be held in Cuttack. It may also be held in Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Sambalpur and Berhampur subject to number of applications received from candidates.
