ASSISTANT FISHERIES OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 31 Nos. (SC-04, ST-27. Out of the total posts, 01 post is reserved for PWD candidate)
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree in Fishery Science (B.F.Sc) from any recognized University.
ii) The candidate must have knowledge on Odia. He/ she must be able to read, write and speak Odia, and have-
a) Passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject; or
b) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subject; or
c) Passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class-VII from a school or educational institution recognized by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Govt.; or
d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 37 years as on 01/01/2020.
Basic Pay: Rs.44900 per month.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PWD category.
The vacancies are against Special Recruitment for SC and ST candidates in Odisha Fisheries Service Cadre under Fisheries and A.R.D Department. The posts are Temporary, but likely to be made Permanent.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of two years.
NOTE – Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha State will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Viva Voce Test. The Written Examination will be held at Cuttack/ Bhubaneswar.
