Assistant Sub Inspector (Tech) in CRPF. Central Reserve Police Force is 69 Madhyamik pass boys with Diploma in Engineering.

Govt. of India, under Ministry of Home Affairs, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is recruiting 69 candidates for the post of “Assistant Sub Inspector (Technical)”. Madhyamik pass boys who have done  Diploma in Engineering can apply for the post. Details given below—

Assistant Sub Inspector (Technical): 69 Nos. (Gen-26, OBC-14, SC-16, ST-7 and Ex-Serviceman- 6)


Qualification: Madhyamik (Class-X) with English,  Maths and General Science with three years diploma in Radio Engineering or Electronics or Computer from recognized Institution .  Or,  B.Sc degree with Physics, Mathematics and English.


Age limit: within 18yrs to 25yrs as on dated 10/4/2012. Age relaxation for OBC-3yrs, SC/ST-5yrs and Ex-Serviceman- as per norms.

Physical Standard:
For General candidates from all states: Height- 170cms; Chest( unexpanded/ expanded)- 80cm/85cm, Weight- proportional to height and age.
For SC/ST candidates: Height-162.5cm; Chest (unexpanded/expanded)- 76cm/81cm; weight- proportional to height and weight.
For candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Lakakh regions of J&K: Height-165cm; Chest (unexpanded/expanded)- 78cm/83cm; Weight- proportional to weight and age.

Required eye sight for all candidates: The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 both eyes or one eye 6/6 and other eye 6/9 without correction i. e. without wearing of glasses, must not have  squint in eyes and they should possess high  colour vision for the post.
The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot or varicose vein. They must be in good mental and physical health   and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Selection steps: For candidates’ selection first there will be Physical measurement then Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Interview/Personality Test and finally Medical Examination.
Physical Efficiency Test will be of—Race of 100 Mtr in 16 seconds; 1.6 Kms race within 6.5 minutes; Longjump of 3.65 mtrs in 3 chances; High Jump of 1.2 Mtr in 3 chances and Shot Put (16 Lbs) of 4.5 Mtrs in 3 chances.
The candidates who have qualified in the PET are to appear for the written test of  20 marks (Objective type) in Maths, Physics/Science and Computer awareness.
Qualified candidates will be called for Interview and Personality Test which will be of 20 marks. Finally there will be Medical test.

How to Apply: Candidates can prepare the application from as per given format and then enclose the following documents in Attested copies (attestation made by a Gazetted Officer only)—

  • Mark sheet and Certificate of Education/ Technical qualification.
  • Caste certificate for SC/ST and OBC candidates. 
  • Permanent residential /Domicile Certificate  issued by an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or SDM/SDO for verification of citizenship of India. Nativity certificate issued by an officer not below the rank of Tehsildar or SDM/SDO by those claiming relaxation in height/chest.
  • 2 recent passport size photograph (one pasted on application form and other attached)
  • One self-addressed envelope (4”x9”) with affix postal stamp of Rs.25/-
  • Copy of Discharge book in case of Ex-serviceman and No Objection Certificate in case of active Govt. employee.
  • Crossed Indian Postal Order of Rs.100 (No fee for SC/ST candidates) in favour of – Commandant, _________ Signal BN, CRPF, write payable at GPO/HPO of respective city where Signal Battalion located and application is being sent.  (See address below)

Last date of Application: Application form complete with all documents should reach within 10/4/2012 (17/4/2012 for far flung areas) at their respective centres where candidates wills to appear.
