Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Cooch Behar is recruiting eligible and interested youths of the below said blocks for engagement as volunteers for crop pest and diseases scouting work under the control of Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) [PIA] under the project “Disease and Pestilence Warning System” under RKVY Stream-I. Educational norms and brief details are given below —
VOLUNTEERS FOR CROP PEST & DISEASE SCOUTING WORK.
No. of Volunteers: 2 Nos. in each Blocks (10 blocks) of Coochbehar district.
Name of Blocks where to be engaged: —
(1) Cooch Behar-I, (2) Cooch Behar-II, (3) Tufanganj-I, (4) Dinhata-I, (5) Dinhata-II,
(6) Mathabhanga-I, (7) Mathabhanga-II, (8) Sitalkuchi, (9) Mekhliganj, (10) Haldibari
Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary pass with Biology/ Vocational Agriculture.
Desirable — Basic knowledge of Computer and Internet is desirable.
Note: Preference will be given to local youth of selected blocks having agriculture background as well as capable of riding cycle extensively within project site. Such selected volunteers should have their own mobile phone.
Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 25yrs. Candidates must have sound health.
Honorarium: Rs.5000/- per month will be paid as consolidated honorarium.
The engagement as Volunteers will be purely on contractual basis for a period of Six months ubject to periodic evaluation of performance by the PIA and pro terminus with project period.
Duties of Volunteers: Service of volunteers will be utilized under the supervision and control of the PIA (UBKV) as to be assigned by the respective PIA.
How to Apply: Interested candidate may contact with the Assistant Director of Agriculture of aforesaid blocks and are requested to apply to the Assistant Director of Agriculture of the respective block in sealed envelope super scribing the name of the post applied for in plain paper as per enclosed proforma. The last date of receiving application and the date of Interview will be finalized by respective block committees.
