Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) — Salem Steel Plant, Tamil Nadu, is recruiting 54 persons for the posts of “Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee” in discipline of – Fitter, Electrician and Welder. ITI done candidates may apply for the post. Application is to be made offline in the prescribed format which should reach by 10th Sept. Eligibility norms and etc is given below in brief—
1. Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee: 54 Nos. (Gen—23; SC—10; OBC—14; Ex-Serviceman—7; PH—1)
No of vacancies according to trade wise is given below—
Fitter: 26 Nos.
Electrician: 20 Nos.
Welder: 8 Nos.
Qualification: SSLC/ HSC as well as ITI certificate in trade of Fitter/ Electrician/ Welder.
Age limits: within 28yrs as on 01/07/2012. Age relaxation is as per rules.
Pay Scale: Candidates will be on probation for first two years; during this two year consolidated pay will be Rs.6600 and 7700 respectively. After successful completion of training period; regular pay scale will be Rs.8600—Rs.12080
Selection of candidates will be through Written Test, Interview and Medical Examination. The date, time and venue of written test and interview will be intimated in due course to all the eligible candidates only.
Processing Fee: Candidates should prepare Demand Draft of Rs.150 (Rs.50 for SC/ST/PWD) in favour of SAIL – A/c Salem Steel Plant Payable at Salem and drawn on State Bank of India, Salem Steel Plant Campus Branch.
