BLOCK EDUCATION OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 309 Nos.
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelors degree in Education from a recognized University or qualification equivalent thereto and in case Bachelors degree is not in Education, the L.T. diploma of the Government Training College or the Government Basic Training College awarded by the Registrar, Departmental Examinations, Uttar Pradesh.
Provided that, other things being equal preference will be given to those candidates who possess L.T. diploma in Basic Education from Government Basic Training College or who hold a degree or diploma or certificate of any special course of training in Basic Education from any University or Board established by law in India or from the Education Department of any other State Government.
ii) Preferential: Other things being equal such candidate will be given preference who (i) Has served for a minimum period of two years in Territorial Army or (ii) Has obtained “B” certificate of N.C.C.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 01/07/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.9300 — Rs.34800
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ ST/ OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Uttar Pradesh will be treated as General Category candidates.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. The Preliminary Examination will be held at the following centers:- Agra, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Barabanki, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kanpur Nagar, Lucknow, Mathura, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Raibareli, Sitapur and Varanasi.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Examination Fee of Rs. 125/- (Rs. 65/- for SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman and Rs.25/- for PWD candidates). Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO UTTAR PRADESH PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPPSC) AT THIS STAGE.
