District Project Offices, Sarva Siksha Mission (SSM), as per Advertisement No. 01/BLA/2012, is recruiting for the post of – BLOCK/ URBAN UNIT ACCOUNTANT on Contractual basis in the below given twenty educational district’s blocks/ Urban Unit/ Urban Units under the respective DPO, SSM. Eligibility norms and criteria in brief is given below—
Name of the Post: Block/ Urban Unit Accountant
No. of Post: One post in each Block/ Urban unit available under the below mentioned districts. For Kolkata, there are four vacancies for 4 ULRCs(I, II, III, IV)

20. Kolkata: There is no concept of block/ urban unit and four accountants will be recruited for 4 ULRCs to be initially stationed at DPO. The units would represent the area under Kolkata Municipal Corporation as follows: Unit I – Boroughs 1, 2, 3 and 4 (ii) Unit II – Boroughs 5, 6, 7 and 8 (iii) Unit III – Boroughs 9, 10, 11 and 12 (iv) Unit IV – Boroughs 13, 14 and 15.
Applications are invited from candidates for filling up the post of Block / urban unit Accountant on contractual basis in the above mentioned blocks/ urban unit / urban units under the respective District Project Offices, Sarva Siksha Mission.

Qualification Required: B.Com (Hons) under regular course and Certificate in Computer knowledge covering MS Office and Tally Accounting system.
Experience: Atleast 2 years of experience in Accounting and Audit in any reputed organization/ firm or govt. sponsored project having computer environment.
Age limits: between 21yrs to 37yrs as on 01/09/2012.
Consolidated remuneration per month—Rs.12000/-
Selection Steps: If the numbers of applicants exceeds ten in any block/ urban unit; then they will be shortlisted on basis of the performance in B.Com (Hons). The shortlisted candidates will be then called for Computer efficiency test.
Interested candidates may apply for only one block/ urban unit and must be resident of the concerned district.
