Border Security Force (BSF), Recruitment Section, is inviting application for 136 combatised posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial). BORDER SECURITY FORCE (BSF) INVITES APPLICATION ON PRESCRIBED FORMAT FOR 136 POSTS OF ASI (STENOGRAPHER) AND HC (MINISTERIAL). LAST DATE — 03/08/2015 (17.08.2015)

 

ASSISTANT SUB INSPECTOR (STENOGRAPHER)
Number of Vacancies: 25 posts. (SC—12; ST—13)

Educational Qualification: Intermediate or SSC (10+2) AND should possess Shorthand speed of 80 words per minute in English or in Hindi for 10 minutes. Transcription of dictation in English in 50 minutes on computer or in 60 minutes in Hindi on computer.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01/08/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2800/-

 

HEAD CONSTABLE (MINISTERIAL)
Number of Vacancies: 111 posts (UR—21; OBC—00; SC—47; ST—33; Ex-Serviceman—10)

Educational Qualification: Intermediate or SSC (10+2) AND should possess Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer for 10 minutes.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01/08/2015
Pay Scale: Rs.5200—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2400/-

 

Physical Standards (For both posts)

Male Candidates: Height — 165cms (162.5cms for ST and N.E/Hill area candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) — 77cms/82cms (76cms/81cms); Weight — Correspondence to height and age as per medical standards.

Female Candidates: Height — 155cms (150 cms for ST and N.E/Hill area candidates); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) —Not Applicable; Weight — Correspondence to height and age as per medical standards

 

Medical Standards:
Eye Sight — Distant vision should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye without correction/glass
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties

 

Upper age relaxation — Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Physical Measurement Test, Practical Test (Steno/Typing as applicable), Documentation/Verification and Medical Examination. Exact date and venue of examination will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course.

Application Fee: Candidates willing to apply should pay Application Fee of Rs.50/- in form of crossed Bank Draft/ Postal Order in favour of Authority to whom the application is addressed and payable at respective SBI/ Post Office at the location. SC/ST, EX-SERVICEMAN AND WOMEN CANDIDATES ARE EXEMPTED FROM PAYMENT OF EXAMINATION FEE.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format along with self-attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Qualification, Age proof, Caste, Domicile and any other relevant documents.

Candidates must also enclose 02 self-addressed envelope (25cms x 12 cms) affixed with postage stamp of Rs.40/- on each envelope.
