1. Inspector (Architect): 03 Nos. (UR-02, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: Degree in Architecture
Candidates must have registered with Council of Architecture
Physical Standard:
Height: (i) Male: 165 Cms; (ii) Female: 157 Cms
Chest: (i) Male- 81 Cms (Unexpanded) and 86 Cms (Expanded), (ii) Female: Not applicable.
Weight: (i) Male-50 Kgs., (ii) Female- Not less than 46 Kgs.
Age Limit: Below -30 years as on Closing date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4600/-
2. Sub Inspector/Junior Engineer (Electrical): 05 Nos. (UR-03, OBC-01, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Physical Standard:
Height: (i) Male: 165 Cms (160 Cms in case of hill Tribes and Adivasis including Mizos and Nagas); (ii) Female: 157 cms.
Chest: (i) Male- 76 Cms (Unexpanded) and 81 Cms (Expanded) (Relaxable by 02 Cms for candidates below 20 years of age), (ii) Female – Not applicable.
Weight: (i) Male-50 Kgs, (ii) Female- Not less than 46 Kgs.
Age Limit: Not exceeding- 30 years as on Closing date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
3. Sub Inspector (Works): 12 Nos. (UR-05, OBC-01, SC-02, ST-04)
Educational Qualification: Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Physical Standard:
Height: Male-165 Cms (160 Cms in case of hill Tribes and Adivasis including Mizos and Nagas), (ii) Female: 157 cms.
Chest: Male- 76 Cms (Unexpanded) and 81 Cms (Expanded) (Relaxable by 02 Cms for candidates below 20 years of age), (ii) Female – Not applicable
Weight: (i) Male-50 Kgs, (ii) Female- Not less than 46 Kgs.
Age Limit: Not exceeding – 30 years as on Closing date of application
Pay Scale: Rs.9300/- Rs.34800/- and Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Documentation, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Examination

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.50/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of at the respective centre of Border Security Force (BSF) as per Candidate’s zone/state (See pdf file given below for addresses).
NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC, ST, WOMEN, EX-SM AND BSF CANDIDATES.
