Border Security Force (BSF), Engg Set up, is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 06 posts of Group “C” Head Constable (Pioneer, Carpenter, Mason, Fitter / Blacksmith and Sewarman). BORDER SECURITY FORCE (BSF) ENGG SET UP IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 06 POSTS OF GROUP “C” HEAD CONSTABLE (PIONEER, CARPENTER, MASON, FITTER / BLACKSMITH AND SEWARMAN). LAST DATE — 07/08/2016 (22/08/2016 for far flung areas)

 

1. Head constable (Pioneer): 02 Nos. (UR-02)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Mason or Carpenter or Plumber or Electrician or Blacksmith or Welder or Painter or Polisher or Mechanist or three years experience in the respective trade.
Age Limit: Between 18years to 25 years as on closing date for receipt of applications.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

2. Head Constable (Carpenter /Mason): 01 Nos. (ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the trade of Carpenter or Mason or three years experience in the respective trade.
Age Limit: Between 18years to 25 years as on closing date for receipt of applications.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

3. Head Constable (Fitter/ Blacksmith): 02 Nos. (UR-02)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or its equivalent with Industrial Training Institute (lTI) Certificate in the trade of Fitter or Blacksmith or three years experience in the respective trade.
Age Limit: Between 18 years to 25 years as on closing date for receipt of applications.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

 

4. Constable (Sewarman): 01 Nos. (UR-01)
Educational Qualification: Matriculation pass or its equivalent with experience in maintenance of sewerage subject to qualifying proficiency test in the trade.
Age Limit: Between 18years to 25 years as on closing date for receipt of applications.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200/- Rs.20200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2000/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Physical Standards Test:

Height:
(i) Male- 165 cms (160 Cms in case of Hill Tribes and Adivasis including Mizos and Nagas)
(ii) Female: 157 Cms.

Chest:
(i) Male- (unexpanded/ expanded): 76 cms/ 81 cms (02 Cms Concessions for candidates below 20 years of age.
(ii) Female: Not Applicable.

Weight:
(i) Male- Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards
(ii) Female- Proportionate to height but not less than 46 Kgs.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Documentation, Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Practical test & Medical Examination.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.50/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Demand Draft/Postal Order drawn in favour the BSF (Border Security Force) Centre where the application form is being submitted by the candidates (See PDF file given below for list of addresses).

 

NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SCHEDULED TRIBE, BSF CANDIDATES, EX-SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN CANDIDATES.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format (See PDF file below) along with attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Qualification, Caste, Age, Experience certificate (if applicable) and any other relevant documents.

Candidates must also enclose 02 (25 x 12 cms) Self-Addressed envelope with the Application Form affixed with postage stamp of Rs. 40/-
