BSF- 332 Technical Posts for Motor Transport Workshop, Sub Inspector and Constable in trades- Vehicle Mechanic, Auto Electrician, Mechanic, Welder, Painter, Etc. For Madhyamik and ITI Boys.

Border Security Force (BSF) is recruiting 332 Males for the various Technical Posts (Group-B and Group-C combatised) for Motor Transport Workshop, such as- Sub-Inspector (Vehicle mechanic/ Auto electrician/ Store keeper), Constable (Mechanic/ Auto Electrician/ Welder/ Painter/ Turner/ Fitter/ Store Keeper and Etc). The posts were temporary but likely to become permanent. Details below—

1. SI (Vehicle Mechanic): 5 Nos. (Gen-4, OBC-1)
2. SI (Auto Electrician): 4 Nos. (Gen-3, OBC-1)
3. SI (Store Keeper): 8 Nos. (gen-5, SC-1, OBC-2)
4. CT (Vehicle Mechanic): 58 Nos. (Gen-31, SC-8, ST-4, OBC-15)
5. CT (Auto Electrician): 24 Nos. (Gen-14, SC-3, ST-1, OBC-6)
6. CT (Black Smith/Tin Smith): 50 Nos. (Gen-27, SC-7, ST-3, OBC-13)
7. CT (Welder): 13 Nos. (Gen-9, SC-1, OBC-3)
8. CT (Painter): 5 Nos. (Gen-4, OBC-1)
9. CT (Upholster): 12 Nos. (Gen-8, SC-1, OBC-3)
10. CT (Turner): 9 Nos. (Gen-6, SC-1, OBC-9)
11. CT (Fitter): 5 Nos. (Gen-4, OBC-1)
12. CT (Vulcanize or Operator Tyre repair plant): 22 Nos. (Gen-13, SC-3, ST-1, OBC-5)
13. CT (Carpenter): 5 Nos. (Gen-4, OBC-1)
14. CT (Store Keeper): 12 Nos. (Gen-8, SC-1, OBC-3)

Required qualifications:
For Sub-Inspector (Technical): Madhyamik Pass candidates with minimum 3 years Diploma in Auto Mobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Auto Electrical Engineering from recognised Institutes.
For Constable (Technical): Madhyamik pass candidates with I.T.I. certificate in respective trade or minimum 3 years experience in respected trade in any reputed firm.

Age Limits: For all the above posts in SI (Technical) candidates should be within 20yrs to 25yrs and within 18yrs to 25yrs for the posts in CT (technical). Age will be counted as on 11-3-2012. Age relaxation—OBC-3yrs and SC/ST-5yrs, Ex-serviceman- as per norms.
Salary: Rs.9300—RS.34800 and Grade pay: Rs.4200 for all the posts in SI (Technical)
and Rs.5200—RS.20200 and Grade pay: Rs.2000 for all the posts in SI (Technical).

Physical Standard:
Height: 165 Cms.
Chest (unexpanded/ expanded): 75cms/ 80cms
Weight: Corresponding to Height and Age as per medical standard.
Eye Sight: 6/6 and 6/9 in distant vision of both eyes for Sub Inspector and 6/6 and 6/9 of 2 eyes for Constable without wearing any glasses.
Cut-off in Height and Chest is as per govt. norms.

Selection procedure: First Document verification and Physical measurement and then Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Practical, Interview and finally Medical Examination.
Physical efficiency test will be – (I) 1.6 Kms run in 8 minutes, (II) High Jump of 3 feet and 6 inches in 3 attempts and (III) Long Jump of 11 feet in 3 attempts.
Written Test questions will be Objective Type with Multiple Choices and Trade Test will be on respective trade.

How to apply: Application form can be prepared as per prescribed format. Along with application candidates should enclosed all the required documents and sent it to the respective address of the Centres. Documents required—

• 2 passport size photograph duly attested by gazetted officer (one pasted on application form and other on admit card)
• Examination fee of Rs.50 in form of DD or IPO in favour of – DDO, and write payable at—respective centres. For e.g. “Kolkata” for Kolkata centre.  SC/ST candidates require no fee.
• Attested copy of Caste Certificate
• Attested copy of Matriculation certificate for verification of age proof.
• Attested copy of Diploma or ITI certificates
• Two self-addressed envelope with affix postal stamp of Rs.27 on each.
• Attested copies of Educational certificates, Experience certificates and etc

Last date: Application form should reach within 11th March 2012 at the respective address of the centres where candidate wills to sit for examination.
